I have been training animals for most of my life. With the extensive experience I have had in using adaptive techniques to assist individuals better adapt to their needs, I have trained several therapy animals that qualify for the ADA's title as therapy animals. In my own practice I use Jake. He is a pure bread, Six year old, registered AKC German Shepard. He is trained to assist in a therapy session if needed. He is also trained to not interact if give the command.



Services are billed by the session. Each session is billed depending on the type of payment. Private or out of pocket payment is $125.00 per session. I will bill most insurance at a higher rate to compensate for the added expense of billing. If a session is a no show, then we will bill at 1/2 the rate unless the appointment is cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. Co- payments are due at the time of service and we can process card payments. If there are special needs related to billing, we will gladly discuss options.



Disclosure Statment



Philosophy and Approach: My philosophy towards counseling is that counseling should be used to resolve issues and to help develop skills and tools, that when used appropriately, can help improve your life.

Formal Education and Training: I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark University. Major Coursework included: Counseling and counseling techniques as well as psychology.

As a Licensee of the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, I will abide by its Code of Ethics. To maintain my license.
I am required to participate in annual continuing education. I take classes dealing with subjects relevant to this profession. I may substitute professional supervision for part of this requirement. Lloyd Campbell MSW provides ongoing supervision, which I will be happy to explain. -ORA's

Fees: My fee is $105.00 per hour. There is a fee of ½ of the current fee if a session is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.

* To examine public records maintained by the Board and to have the Board confirm credentials of a licensee

Individual Counseling



Counseling should be an opportunity to fix issues in your life that are not working. I have been a counselor for many years and bring to the table a variety of techniques, as well as experience, to help you fix what is not working.



Marriage counseling



The most important relationship we have, is our marriage. Marriage can bring us both happiness and frustration, as well as sadness. However, this also makes marriage complicated, whether through failings or learned behavior, the marriage may need work. My goals are your goals. There are many styles of therapy, we will work together to find the one that will work for you and your spouse.​



Family Counseling



I work with families and youth to help fix the problems they may have. I work with youth as young as six years old. I also work with teenagers to address the needs they may have in developing into responsible adults .​



Addictions



Addictions come in many forms. I am well versed in The 12 step programs and wholly support​ their use. I can add assistance in behavioral techniques as well as adjustment to the life changes that need to occur.



Depression and anxiety



Depression is difficult to address although, there are many resources available, it may seem impossible to fix. I believe this is a curable disorder and I have many tools to accomplish this. Anxiety is equally difficult and I have been trained on may techniques such as, Biofeedback and Hypnosis, CBT, and others to address this debilitating issue.



Other



I have been a counselor for over 30 years and have dealt with almost every type of issue requiring counseling. I will bring whatever is necessary to help the client fix what does not work in their life. I am ethical and honest. If I can't help I will refer you to someone who hopefully can.
